MHFA Awareness Session for WorkersMental Health is "a state of well-being in which an individual realises their own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and are able to make a contribution to their community." Mental health can be seen as a continuum ranging from having good mental health to having mental illness. In this session we discuss the difference between mental health and mental illness, explore the indicators of each, brainstorm on the risk and protective factors, the impact and what to do in order to help someone struggling.
